Andaman and Nicobar Islands
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines sail away from the harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails......Explore.Dream.Discover.”
After weeks of debate we decided to visit the largest island in the Andaman Islands: Havelock Island. Staying one night in Port Blair and travelling from the South of India, we arrived in a land lush with palm-lined, white-sand beaches, mangroves and tropical rainforest. The Andaman Islands are an Indian archipelago consisting of 300 islands in the Bay of Bengal. The chances are these types of places will not be around forever, and it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I feel privileged and fortunate to have had; driving through the rainforest, swimming in unspoilt clear waters, and sitting around a bonfire on the beach at night.
